Meet Queen Amina. Born around 1533 in Zazzau (modern day north-west Nigeria. From a young age she displayed a strong spirit and aptitude for the art of war and diplomacy. Her father saw this and allowed her to train with the boys in the ways of combat.
She trained and learned all throughout her childhood. After the death of her father, her brother allowed her to head the army and continue to build her reputation as warrior and strong leader.
In 1576 her brother too pasted. That same year she was coronated queen and ruled over Zazzau well into her 60's. She personally led military campaigns and created infostructure that grew Zazzau's reach. She put in place many strategic instruments and laws that preserved her legacy and her people until this very day.

Meet Mother Teresa. Born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, 1910, in the city of Skopje. Attending a primary school run by nuns and watching her mother work hard to provide laid the ground work for what she would later become.
Doing missionary work while still in high school was just the beginning of her journey. She spent years advocating for girls to be able to go to school the same as boys. taking her vows as a nun and rising to head mistress of Saint Marys School for girls. She later founded The Missionaries of Charity, the Missionary Brother of Charity and the Co-workers of Mother Teresa.

This is the amazing Queen Nanny or the Maroons. Born sometime between 1860-1880. She became a great national leader in Jamaica. She was born free with roots from Ghana.
She organized and inspired enslaved and oppressed people in Jamaica. Fighting against foreign powers looking to conquer and exploit the people and resources of Jamaica. She helped develop cleaver tactics to give her small and under equipped force a fighting edge over the invading forces. Being a dominating leader for decades in a time period mainly reserved for men.
